Whoops a bit late with posting this update - April and the start of May have been a busy time with little time to update this blog (probably why my previous attempts over the years have stopped around this time)
Once again April was themeless so I just worked on my "Pile of potential" (trying to keep it positive)
Terrain: Gang Hideout gates completes the Gang Hideout terrain set
Necromunda: Orlock with Plasma Pistol and Servo Claw
I decided on green for this plasma pistol instead of the usual blue as their outfit is blue and didn't want the clash.
It took more attempts to get the look right than I'd care to admit.

This belongs to my son's Delaque gang.
He specifically wanted a red "lightning effect" over it, it was the first time I had done something on this scale. It took a fair amount of work but was certainly rewarding when complete.

Necromunda Terrain: I found an old toy crane that belonged to my son. I was originally bright yellow and had JCB stickers. The stickers were removed and the whole toy was cleaned, then lightly sanded, after which I sprayed a basecoat of black then silver, then painted oranges over it to give the rust effect.
I also added some cogs I had and a terminal that comes with the Zone Mortalis walls.
I also discovered that isopropyl alcohol is great at removing label glue residue from tubs/plastic for terrain building.
